The Filstal Bridge is a prominent railway overpass forming part of the Wendlingen–Ulm high-speed rail line. It spans the Filstal valley between Mühlhausen im Täle and Wiesensteig at a height of up to 85 metres. The structure consists of two parallel, single-track prestressed concrete box-girder bridges with lengths of 485 m and 472 m, making it one of the highest railway bridges in Germany.
The bridge is a key element of the Alb ascent section, connecting the Boßler Tunnel to the north and the Steinbühl Tunnel to the south. Its exposed location, significant height, complex geological conditions, and integration into a sensitive landscape required a high level of technical coordination and robust project controls. The bridge entered regular operation in December 2022.
